We would like to kindly inform you that the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent restrictions on movement and work do not affect the implementation of the Education Programme. The Programme Operator presented a proposal of corrective actions to the National Contact Point and the Financial Mechanisms Office. Suggested undertakings include e.g. extension of the project implementation period, flexible approach to mobility and project meetings when recommending online meetings, extension of mobility in Component II (Mobility in Higher Education) by the winter semester of the academic year 2020/2021, postponing of the next call for proposals, etc. As soon as we receive the position of these institutions, we will forward it to you. We would like to assure that in this non-standard situation we remain at your disposal, sign the last contracts, make current advance payments, etc. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our team.

First Call for proposals under the Education Programme officially closed

The Foundation for the Development of the Education System, acting as the Operator in the Education Programme, informs that the first call for proposals under the Education Programme implemented under the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area 2014-2021 has been completed.

First Call for proposals under the Education Programme officially open

The Foundation for the Development of the Education System (FRSE) acting as the Operator of the Education Programme, implemented under the EEA Financial Mechanism 2014-2021, is launching a Call for proposals by means of a competition with a maximum possible project grant of 250 000 EUR. It is the first out the three Calls launched under the Programme.

Eligible applicant in the Education Programme is any Polish legal entity operating in the field of formal or non-formal education, starting with the school education. Proposals in both Polish and English language should be submitted solely through FRSE online system from 24/06/2019 to 15/09/2019. Total amount available to be awarded to project promoters (EEA FM funds for 2014-2021, including national contribution) through the first call for proposals amounts to 7 201 257 EUR.

The announced call provides for recruitment under four Components:

Actions that can be implemented include short training trips for staff, intensive trainings organized in Poland, academic exchanges and initiatives implemented in partnerships aimed at improving the quality and matching the educational offer in Poland.

The projects implemented must be in line with the general objectives of the programme, they should also fit into the specific objectives of the components and priority areas defined for the programme.

Education Programme Agreement signed

On March 8th, 2019 Mr Jerzy Kwiecinski, Minister of Investment and Economic Development and Mr Olav Myklebust, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway, have signed the agreeement on the Education Programme. Almost 90 mln PLN – such amount will be granted to Poland from the EEA Grants for, among others, VET, scholarship programmes and teachers’ trainining. The Education Programme is the first programme under III edition of the EEA Grants that has its scope and objectives definitely set and enters an implementation phase.
